Wouldn't autism make bowling a 300 easier?

My son on the spectrum just bowled today and scored 3 strikes in a row having only bowled a couple of times before.

Scott the only piece of advice I can give you is enjoy EVERY single moment you’re on the lanes while you can. I only bowled for 9 years & had to quit because of injury but the sport had a profoundly positive effect on my life & I hope it does the same for you. I never threw a 300, my PB was 268 & I’ve no doubt it won’t be your only 300.

This is so cool to see another autistic bowler. I person on my highschool team this past year also has autism. His name is Ryan Beam and he won the Louisiana state singles for bowling last year I believe. He bowled a 590 2 game series to qualify first. The first ball he threw he got a spare and then threw 23 strikes in a row to get 290, 300.

this is why i love the sport of bowling. you don’t need to be a super insane athlete, you just need the mental game and people with autism can very well have that mental game, and probably better than most of us, clearly! as a long time league bowler i’ve never come close to a 300 yet.

This is why I love bowling. It is such an accessible sport. I bowl in a special needs league, and although I don't have any special needs myself, it is still so great to see everyone around me have such a great time. Whether they're shooting 100 or 200. No egos. No attitudes. Just pure, unadulterated fun.

Yes, congrats on his 3. That house looks like its set up with an easy grooved shot. There is an alley near me, that has many 200 bowlers who see their average drop 20-30 pins when they bowl in a house with a legitimare shot. Glad he is having fun with it, which is really the most important thing. I have had 8 300's, in three differnt states

Bowling a 300 game is an achievement in and by itself but doing it with autism is truly incredible

ive been bowling for over half my life, started when i was 4, i myself have a slight bit of autism, and i havent ever shot above 180
